Brock Purdy Suffered Multiple Injuries During 49ers’ Win vs Seahawks, Status For Week 2 Uncertain

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy suffered multiple injuries during Sunday’s win over the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Monday.

Shanahan revealed that Purdy suffered a left shoulder (non-throwing) and toe injury. The 49ers had coach added that the toe is worse than the shoulder, and that Purdy’s status for next Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints will be determined later in the week.

Per Shanahan, the quarterback’s shoulder was injured during the first half, when he was driven into the turf.

In Sunday’s 17-13 win over the rival Seahawks, Purdy threw for 277 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. If he’s unable to suit up against the Saints, the 49ers will start backup Mac Jones.
