Tua Tagovailoa Admits He “Can’t Do Half” The Stuff Josh Allen Can Do Ahead Of TNF Game

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sent some heavy praise in the direction of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen ahead of their Week 3 matchup on Thursday Night Football.

“Dude, he’s top-tier,” Tagovailoa said Tuesday, per ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques. “If it’s not with his arm it’s with his legs — that dude can do anything he wants.”

“I can’t do half of what he does in terms of running the ball … It’s gonna be fun to get to see him, get to play him again,” he added.

Allen has been one of the best running quarterbacks in the NFL, rushing for at least 500 yards in six of his first seven seasons. He picked up 531 yards on the ground in 2024, finding the end zone 12 times as a runner.

Meanwhile, Tagovailoa has struggled to open the year. Despite completing 72.7 percent of his throws to start his 2025 campaign, he’s recorded 429 pass yards and three touchdowns compared to three interceptions. Miami also owns a record of 0-2.

The two quarterbacks have faced off nine times during their respective careers, with Allen’s Bills winning eight of the matchups.

Their next meeting will occur on Thursday, with kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET.
