There was some postgame drama after the 49ers’ 20-9 win over the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football.
One one of the final plays of the game, Carolina Panthers safety Tre’von Moehrig punched 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings right in the private parts. Replay showed that this wasn’t by mistake and it looked like Moehrig did it on purpose.
After the final kneel down, Jennings right at Moehrig and punched him in the helmet, starting a postgame altercation that led to players and coaches stepping in to break the two apart.
The NFL will surely be sending out some fines to both players later this week but it’s clear Moehrig initiated the altercation.
The 49ers (8-4) will travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns while the Panthers will host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
