REPORT: Giants Fired Assistant Coach Bryan Cox After Disagreement Over Airplane Seating

The New York Giants fired another assistant coach last week, parting ways with assistant defensive line coach Bryan Cox – last week and while interim head coach Mike Kafka refused to elaborate on the decision, the information on the firing has been ealedk.

According to The Athletic’s Dan Duggan, the firing, which occurred during the team’s bye week, stemmed from Cox’s reaction to a last-minute change in seating arrangements on the flight home from New England. Assistant coaches, typically seated near the front, were relocated to the back of the plane – a move that apparently triggered some frustration.

The Giants (2-11) are in the midst of another disaster season and having already fired head coach Brian Daboll, defensive coordinator Shane Bowen and now assistant defensive line coach Bryan Cox.

They are one of the league’s worst defenses so it’s not like Cox was doing a good job but this seems to show how dysfunctional the Giants are.

Coming off their bye week, the Giants have a matchup with the Washington Commanders in Week 15.
