J.J. McCarthy is hurt, again.

McCarthy was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the New York Giants with a hand injury. The injury occurred when he was strip-sacked by Giants’ Brian Burns just before halftime.

McCarthy’s career has been a rough one with the second-year quarterback dealing with a number of injuries. Today’s game was just McCarthy’s ninth start and if his hand injury is severe, he will likely miss the final two games of the season and just have nine starts in his first two years of his career.

Undrafted rookie Max Brosmer is now in at quarterback for the Vikings.
