The Eagles offensive struggles have been well documented, especially after a rough second half against the Buffalo Bills, but it doesn’t look like they’ll be using their Week 18 game against the Washington Commanders to try and get their offense back on track.
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the team is expected to rest quarterback Jalen Hurts and most other starters against Washington. Head coach Nick Sirrianni declined to confirm the report.
The Eagles could either be the No. 2 or No. 3 seed in the NFC. A win and a Bears loss against the Lions would make them the No. 2 seed.
Getting the No. 2 seed would give them possibility of hosting two playoff games but it seems like Sirianni is opting for health and not risking any injuries.
