Riley Leonard couldn’t ask for a better start to his first career start on Sunday vs Texans.

The rookie hit Alec Pierce on a 66-yard touchdown pass to give the Texans a 7-3 lead over the Texans.

Leonard was named the starter earlier this week after the Colts were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, replacing 44-year-old Philip Rivers.

There’s a lot at stake in this game for the Texans. If they win today and the Jaguars lose, the Texans win the AFC South. But early on, things aren’t looking good for Houston.
