Davante Adams Was Fighting Back Tears After NFC Championship Game Loss: “It’s Tough To Talk” (VIDEO)

Davante Adams has accomplished a lot during his 12 year career but the one thing that he’s been desperate to accomplish is getting to a Super Bowl and winning it.

For the fifth time in his career, Adams came up short, losing in the NFC Championship game. Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks was the latest heartbreaking loss, as the Rams couldn’t overcome an 11-poitn deficit in the second half to beat their division rivals.

After the game, Adams was understandably emotional, fighting back tears in the locker room while answering questions from reporters.

“It’s tough. It’s tough to talk,” he said.

Adams tried to answer the next question, but paused to gather himself. He was then asked how excited he is about the future of the Rams and being part of it next year.

“It’s tough to focus on that right now,” Adams said. “It’s tough. It’s a tough moment we’re in right now so process the emotions of this and then worry about that. Obviously, I love this team, love what this team is about. Love the fight that we had all year. It just sucks to come up short.”

Adams said late in the season that he believes he has a lot left in the tank and isn’t really thinking about retirement. He led the NFL with 14 touchdown receptions in 2025 and averaged 56.4 yards per game so there’s no question he can still have a big impact. He had one of his best performances of the season Sunday, catching four passes for 89 yards and a touchdown against Seattle.

Adams is under contract for one more season in L.A. and barring a surprise, he should be back in Los Angeles.
