Former Packers RB Eddie Lacy Sentenced In “Extreme DUI” Case

Former Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy was stanched to 180 days confinement after pleading guilty to a DUI charge in Arizona, TMZ Sports reports.

Lacy’s arrest was considered an “extreme DUI”“ case after the 35-year-old was arrested in September of 2024 in Scottsdale, Arizona, when he was pulled over after being observed “committing several traffic violations.”

911 call records revealed that at the time, another driver reported Lacy driving erratically and expressed concern he was “going to kill somebody.” According to the police report, Lacy’s “speech was slow. Slurred and mumbled as soon as [the arresting officer] began talking to him.”

Lacy was later administered a breathalyzer exam, where his blood alcohol level was measured at .325, more than four times the Arizona legal limit of .08. He was arrested and charged with what is known as “extreme” DUI, a misdemeanor charge.

Lacy, 35, a second round pick of the Packers in 2013 was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year after rushing for 1,178 yards and 11 touchdowns. After another 1,000-yard season in 2014, his production began to decline due to a series of ankle injuries, and he was out of the league after spending the 2017 season with Seattle.
