Giants Are Signing WR Darnell Mooney To A One-Year Deal

Darnell Mooney has found a new home.

According to multiple reports, the Giants are signing wide receiver Darnell Mooney to a one-year deal worth up to $10 million.

Mooney, 28, is heading over to New York after two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, who released him on Monday to save $18.4 million against the salary cap.

After they lost Wan’Dale Robinson to the Tennessee Titans in free agency, the Giants bringing in Mooney adds a speedster and a reliable go-to target at the position for Jaxson Dart.

Mooney narrowly missed his second career 1,000-yard receiving season in his first year with the Falcons in 2024, recording 64 receptions for 992 yards and five touchdowns catching passes from Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix Jr.

Mooney’s stat line last season took a dip as Atlanta dealt with some inconsistency under center switching to Penix as the full-time starter — and then back to Cousins following Penix’s season-ending knee injury. Mooney produced 443 yards and a score on 32 catches.

He’ll look to get back on track working with Dart, Malik Nabers, Cam Skattebo and Isaiah Likely in coach John Harbaugh’s first season in New York.
