Browns Sign Safety Grant Delpit To A Three-Year, $48 Million Contract Extension

A few days after signing Denzel Ward to a contract extension, the Cleveland Browns hand out another big pay day to another important part of their secondary.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Cleveland Browns have signed safety Grant Delpit to a three-year deal worth $48 million. The deal also includes $35 million in guarantees.

After trading Myles Garrett, Delpit joins Denzel Ward as the two longest-tenured Browns’ players.

The 27-year-old Delpit was selected in the second round by the Browns in the 2020 draft (44th overall) out of LSU. During his six year career, he’s accumulated 451 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 7 interceptions and three forced fumbles.
