The New England Patriots Are Trading OL Caedan Wallace To the Miami Dolphins

The New England Patriots were set to release offensive tackle Caedan Wallace but then the Miami Dolphins came calling and the two division rivals were able to pull off a rare trade.

The Dolphins are acquiring Wallace and a 2029 seventh-round pick for a 2028 sixth-round pick, both teams announced Monday.

Wallace, 26, was a third-round pick of the Patriots in 2024 out of Penn State. He appeared in 10 games over two seasons in New England but was limited to just eight snaps all of last season.

The Patriots also announced the re-signing of long snapper Niko Lalos. The team initially signed Lalos on March 16, but released him on May 20.
