The Pittsburgh Steelers and defensive tackle Keeanu Benton agreed to a four-year, $72 million contract extension, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
Per Rapoport, the extension makes Benton the highest-paid defensive lineman in Steelers history.
Benton, 25, appeared in 51 games including 40 starts, across three seasons since the Steelers selected him in the second-round of the 2023 draft.
Pittsburgh has spent a good amount of time this offseason extending 2023 draft picks, signing Nick Herbig to a four-year, $100 million deal in June. The Steelers also signed tight end Darnell Washington to a four-year, $42 million extension the following day.
The Steelers will open the 2026 season on Sept. 13 against the Atlanta Falcons at home.
