Fights are common during training camp but it’s rare to see the quarterback involved.
Such was the case at Broncos practice on Tuesday when according to Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports, quarterback Bo Nix and star edge rusher Nik Bonitto were involved in a skirmish in which Bonitto had to “held back by multiple teammates.”
After practice, Nix explained the altercation:
“I love it. It’s football. It’s getting me ready for the games coming up,” Nix said. “It’s a physical practice out there played by physical people. It got intense, and we were just really enjoying it. Sometimes in the dog days of summer, practice gets long, and the intensity runs high.”
The Broncos will go up against the Green Bay Packers in their second preseason game on Friday.
