What a difference a week makes.
Last Saturday, Deshaun Watson criticized Browns fans for mercilessly booing him during a preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, saying the boos’ were not performance-based, rather personal.
But after being named the starting quarterback of the Browns, Watson spent Thursday night signing autographs and taking selfies with Browns fans before the team’s preseason finale against the New England Patriots.
It’s clear there are still many Browns fans that want nothing to do with Watson but there are plenty that will change their minds if he manages to lead the Browns to success in 2026.
The Browns open the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
