It’s an end of an era in Tennessee.
The Titans are waiving quarterback Will Levis, Tom Pelissero reports.
Levis was drafted by the Titans in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Kentucky. He was projected as a first-rounder but fell to the second round of the draft that year.
Levis didn’t start right away, sitting behind Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill was then benched for Levis in Week 8 of that season. He gave fans plenty of hope after throwing for 238 passing yards and four touchdowns in a 28-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
The Titans didn’t win very much with him as a starter, going 3-6. He was then benched for the final three games of the season, and Tannehill closed out the year as starter.
Tennessee moved on from Tannehill, and Levis was the starter for the 2024 season. After an offseason’s worth of hype, Levis underdelivered. He finished with 2,091 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
He also sustained a shoulder injury that required surgery in the 2025 offseason. As a result, Levis missed the entire season.
