Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has already declared 2026 to be his final season in the NFL and he has no doubt that he can ride off into the sunset by winning a Super Bowl.
During an interview with Mad Dog Sports Radio, Rodgers was asked if the Steelers are among the teams that are realistic contenders to hoist the Lombardi and Rodgers did not hesitate in his response.
“Yeah. Of course. That’s why I came back, because I believe in the guys,” Rodgers said.
Rodgers went on to list names of several of his teammates that he expects to be major contributors in 2026 on offense, defense and special teams while saying that he believes the Steelers have built a team that can compete against anyone.
“I like the roster as a whole,” Rodgers said. “We have good veteran leadership. It’s just about going out there and doing it. I feel like the AFC is very deep. Even our own division has a number of teams with Super Bowl aspirations, which is great.”
The Steelers open their 2026 season at home against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
