The Los Angeles Rams are dealing with another major injury concern.
Puka Nacua missed practice for the second straight day in a row due to “soreness” in his groin and will be listed as questionable for Monday night’s game against the New York Giants, Sean McVay said.
“[We are] being smart with him as a skill player,” McVay said Saturday. “Whether or not he plays is to be determined. And so we’ll see how he’s feeling, but he won’t practice [Saturday].”
McVay says Nacua’s injury is separate from the one that caused him to miss time during training camp.
Nacua could have a favorable matchup if he plays. Giants starting cornerback Deonte Banks didn’t practice Saturday for the second consecutive day with a calf injury and is listed as questionable.
McVay also said wide receiver Jordan Whittington, who was added to the injury report Friday, will be listed as doubtful for the game with a quad injury.
The Rams, will however, have Aaron Donald available for Monday’s game, which should help their defense that struggled against the 49ers in Week 1.
