New England Patriots veteran wide receiver Mack Hollins, whose role has grown with A.J. Brown on injured reserve, was placed on IR Saturday.
Hollins hopped off the field on his right foot in the third quarter of last Sunday’s win over the Bufallo Bills, with the club announcing he had a calf injury.
In addition to Hollins, FB Reggie Gilliam was also placed in IR.
Hollins led the league with 15 receptions and 209 receiving yards. The Patriots will be left with Romeo Doubs, DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism III and Kyle Williams on their roster for Sunday’s Week 5 game at home against the Las Vegas Raiders. Brown is eligible to be designated for return from IR next week.
Hollins has played 10 seasons in the NFL.
