The Tennessee Titans are sticking with Cam Ward as their starting quarterback, and first year head coach Robert Saleh said there’s no plans of benching the second-year quarterback following another poor showing.
“Cam is our starting quarterback,” Saleh said after a 26-3 loss to Houston. “We’re going to give him every opportunity to be successful this year. We’re going to continue working with him, grinding with him, and trying to help him get better.”
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft now is 3-19 as a starter.
Ward threw for 170 yards with one interception against the Texans as Tennessee finished with its worst offensive performance of the season. The Titans had just 187 total yards and their fewest points yet. Ward also was sacked four times all within the final 11 minutes.
The Titans are 0-5.
