The writer took to his Twitter account Saturday to state that following the NFL’s new legislation of National Anthem policy, numerous star NFL players have informed him that they plan to sit out a portion of or the entire upcoming season in protest of the apparent “black-balling” of former 49ers Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid.
BREAKING: Several star @NFL players have told me they are considering sitting out the season until the de facto ban of Eric Reid and Colin Kaepernick is removed and both men are given spots back on rosters.
They aim to get 25% of the players to sit out with them.

Kaepernick is currently deposing various NFL owners in his case of alleged collusion against the NFL.
