49ers-Giants Game Is Being Played In Unhealthy Air Conditions Due To California Wildfires

After the NFL spent the previous three days monitoring the situation and air quality of tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers, it was officially labeled as “unhealthy” due to the recent California wildfires.

Prior to kickoff at Levi’s Stadium, the air quality was rated “156,” which is officially “unhealthy” due to the smoke and pollutants from the wildfire.

According to the EPA website:

“People with heart or lung disease, older adults, and children should avoid prolonged or heavy exertion. Everyone else should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion.”

This photo from the stadium indicates just how bad the air quality looks:

What will the NFL do if this continues to get worse?
