Harambe didn’t die for this.
As reported Wednesday morning by ESPN Business reporter Darren Rovell, the NFL has forbidden it’s fans from using ‘HARAMBE’ as a nameplate when they custom order their jerseys.
On NFLShop.com, or each team, you can order a customizable jersey where you can customize your last name and number, to which for whatever reason, the NFL now disallows.
NFLShop now blocks fans wanting to get a HARAMBE nameplate on jerseys.

Here’s the error message you get upon trying:
Even the Saints were saddened by the move.

Forget Colin Kaepnerick. Forget fining players for wearing 9/11 tribute cleats. THIS is something to protest the NFL for. What a travesty. RIP Harambe. Forever in our minds, and sometimes on the backs of our jerseys.
