Raiders HC Jon Gruden released this statement on the hire: “He loves it. He’s a passionate, passionate personnel man. He’s done it for a long time. I know he’s had opportunities to get back into the NFL as a general manager and we’ll see what happens. We’ll see how the dust settles.”
Mayock has been a contributor to NFL Network and NFL.com since 2004, primarily as a draft analyst. Mayock covered college football for CBS, NBC, and ABC prior to joining NFL Network, and he is a widely respected evaluator in that area.
The Raiders have three first round picks in the 2019 Draft thanks the Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper trades, as well as north of $70 million in cap space.
