Patriots Radio Commentator Rips Team During Disastrous Lateral Play vs Raiders: “Dumbest Team I’ve Ever Seen”

The New England Patriots lost their Week 15 game against the Las Vegas Raiders in one of the most unbelievable ways possible. With the game tied and just three seconds remaining, the Patriots decided not to throw a Hail Mary from midfield like any other team would do, but instead, tried a bizarre lateral play.

WR Jakobi Meyers caught the lateraled ball and threw 10 yards behind him, across the field, right into the hands of Raiders’ Chandler Jones. With only Patriots quarterback Mac Jones in the way, Chandler Jones then stiff armed Patriots QB Mac Jones into the ground and ran 48 yards for the game-winning score as time expired.

The entire play sparked plenty of reaction with people ripping the Patriots for their idiotic decision. Even the team’s radio announcers, Bob Socci and Scott Zolak, couldn’t contain themself, ripping the team for the play.

“This might be one of the dumbest teams I’ve ever seen,” Zolak said.
