Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling plans to sign a one-year deal worth up to $4.5 million with the Buffalo Bills, according to reports.
The Chiefs released Valdes-Scantling in February in a move to free up $12 million on their salary cap.
The Buffalo Bills were in need of receiver help after trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans and seeing Gabe Davis leave and sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency. Valdes-Scantling adds another veteran receiver to the Bills depth chart. He joins the free agent acquisitions Curtis Samuel and Mack Hollins alongside second-round draft pick Keon Coleman as the team’s notable offseason additions.
