Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner struggled to find something positive to say about Daniel Jones when he was asked about the New York Giants quarterback following the team’s joint practice.
“He’s a good quarterback,” Gardner said, initially holding back his laughter. “It was very competitive.” Gardner the began to chuckle and seemed to hold himself back from chirping about Jones.
“I had fun out there today,” he added. “I don’t know what to say.”

You gotta give to Sauce, it’s tough to find anything nice to say about Daniel Jones, the NFL quarterback. After the Giants spent all offseason trying to trade up in the 2024 NFL Draft to replace the former No. 6 overall pick, he returned as the Giants starting quarterback but it’s clear his days in New York are numbered.
After last week’s preseason debut where he threw two interceptions including one embarrassing pick-6, many Giants fans are wondering how long the leash will be for Jones when the regular season starts.
