Netflix has released a trailer for “The Fall of Favre”, a documentary that details the career and what followed for legendary NFL quarterback, Brett Favre.
The trailer shows that Netflix will touch on various topics, including the infamous scandal involving New York jets cheerleader Jenn Sterger.
When he was with the Jets during the 2008 season, Favre allegedly sent Sterger inappropriate voicemails and texting her lewd pictures.
In 2020, Favre was accused of using his connections to divert welfare funds to a new volleyball facility for his alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi, where his daughter played on the team.
He was also alleged to have diverted welfare funds to a biotech startup, Prevacus, for which he served as an outside investor. In addition to being named in a lawsuit, Favre filed defamation lawsuits against sports media personalities Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee.
The documentary will be released on May 20th.
