Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant previously came out saying he would not kneel during the National Anthem like many players have around the league. In fact, nobody on the sideline in Dallas has displayed any form of protest pregame, and peer pressure may be the reason why.
Cowboys owner Jerry ones has made it clear that his team will stand during the anthem, saying he thinks protesting during its playing is the wrong time to do so.
According to Shaun King of the New York Daily News, the pressure comes not just from ownership, but from players as well.
A player from the Cowboys just made it clear to me that they’ve all gotten the message that taking a knee will put them “on the shit list”

An anonymous Dallas Cowboys player confirmed to King that if anyone on the Cowboys sideline were to join in on the protests, they would be put on a figurative “shit list.”
