Apparently The Washington Redskins Are About To Be In Some Deep, Deep Sh*t

The hype surrounding the Washington Redskins in recent days has gone from what the franchise’s new name would be to what would be included in a damning report set to be made public this week.

According to multiple sources on Twitter, the Washington Post is set to release an article detailing a plethora of incidents of misconduct, from sexual abuse and prostitution, to drugs and alcohol – all involving team executives, staffers, suite holders and of course Dan Synder.

The team doesn’t have the best track record with things along these lines as the Redskins were involved in an incident where team cheerleaders were exploited and victims of sexual misconduct when the ‘Skins took the squad to Costa Rica in 2013 for a calendar photo shoot.

The cheerleaders were then depriving the cheerleaders of their official identification, forced to strip naked and be painted in body paint, and pose topless for a photoshoot.

According to the shocking New York Times article, a “contingent of sponsors and FedExField suite holders — all men — were granted up-close access to the photo shoots.”

The article added that ‘at the end of a 14-hour day that included posing and dance practices, the squad’s director told nine of the 36 cheerleaders that their work was not done. They had a special assignment for the night. Some of the male sponsors had picked them to be personal escorts at a nightclub.”

There have been countless calls from many Redskins fans for longtime, generally disliked, owner Dan Snyder to sell the time. Perhaps the new reports could be the final straw they’re looking for.

Rumors have also been swirling regarding Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder and the world’s richest man, and his interest in possibly purchasing the franchise. Considering Bezos owns the Washington Post, the same newspaper the article will be published via, one could assume this is Bezos’ way to oust Snyder.

While it’s all speculation at this point, many with at least some knowledge of the situation, say that something is on the horizon, and that something is not good.
