Army Football Team Takes The Field Carrying The French National Flag

Tragedy struck Paris Friday afternoon, with terror attacks raining down on the city of lights. With the nation strong but stricken with fear and shock, those in the United States are doing their best to show support for the 128 (as of this time) people who were killed in the attacks along with the city and country itself. The attacks were the worst France has seen since that of WWII.

Today, the Army football team took their home field to face the Tulane Green Wave, and carried out a small gesture (quite literally) to show support for the country of France. It would be very cool to see any school do this, but having it be the very men who will likely fight in battle for our country makes it that much more special.

Below is an image circling the internet among many others today, a snapshot of Unites States supporters after terror attacks struck our country on the infamous day of 9/11. Student officers displayed a giant US national flag on the Trocadero square with the Eiffel tower in the background during a solemn tribute to the victims. Several commemorations are held in France today to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks which killed almost 3,000 people in NYC and Washington and plunged the US into an era of war

More indirect support was shown today around the college football world, with Ohio State QB Cardale Jones drawing the now semi-iconic peace logo which contains the Eiffel Towel inside the circle.
