Blake Bortles Throws 5 Interceptions During Jacksonville Jaguars Practice

As if Jaguars fans needed any more dissuasion that this year is in fact not their year once again.

In a year that will inarguably be a make-or-break season for Blake Bortles, the 4th-year quarterback started off the team’s first practice in pads by throwing 5 interceptions during team drills – drills where the defense isn’ allowed to touch the QB.

Bortles threw two during 7-on-7 drills and 3 in 11-on-11 drills to the dismay of head coach Doug Marrone.

Since entering the league, Bortles leads the NFL in turnovers (63) and has thrown the second-most interceptions (51) over the past three seasons. He has thrown 11 pick-sixes, which also is the number of victories he has as a starting quarterback, per ESPN.
