Bears LB Danny Trevathan Suspended 2 Games For Dirty Hit vs Packers

Chicago Bears LB Danny Trevathan has been suspended by the NFL for two games following a brutal helmet-to-helmet hit he laid on Packers WR receiver Davante Adams during Thursday night’s Week 4 game.

Here’s the NFL statement:

With the Packers up two touchdowns in the third quarter, Rodgers tossed a pass to Adams over the middle. Adams was held up by tacklers until Trevathan came flying in, launching himself into Adam’s head.

Trevathan laid motionless on the ground following the hit and was carted off the field shortly after.

Adam was diagnosed with a concussion.
