Cleveland Browns Sign Former Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt

Kareem Hunt was let go by the Kansas City Chiefs after the release of a video showing the running back violently assaulting a 19-year-old woman in a Cleveland hotel back in February.

Well, Hunt will be returning to Cleveland, this time to play football.

ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter has reported that the Browns have signed the free agent running back to a one-year deal.

Browns general manager John Dorsey, who has a close relationship with Hunt considering he drafted him as the Chiefs GM, has noted that he deserves a second chance as reasoning for brining Hunt in.

The Browns posted statements from Dorsey as well as Hunt on social media.

Hunt will still have to serve the prospective 6-game suspension that will likely be handed to him by the league before he’s able to play for his new team.

Once returning, he’ll presumably split carries with second-year running back Nick Chubb as well as Duke Johnson.
