Julian Edelman’s 2017 season was over before it even started.
The Patriots star WR’s knee awkwardly buckled during a cut vs the Lions Friday night in New England’s second preseason game.
Though he was able to limp off the field, MRI results show that Edelman suffered a completely torn ACL, an injury that will sideline him for the entire season.

Luckily, the Patriots did sign WR Brandon Cooks this offseason, but opposing defenses will now be more comfortable playing back with the underneath threat of Edelman gone.
