The Chiefs offense was so prolific in 2018 that Kansas City made in to the AFC Championship game despite one of the the league’s worst defenses.
They’re now addressing it.
After firing almost everyone on coaching staff regarding that side of the ball, the Chiefs have moved toward personnel and have signed free-agent safety Tyrann Mathieu aka the “Honey Badger”.
Former Texans’ S Tyrann Mathieu intends to sign a three-year, $42 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, per a league source.

Mathieu will look to replace the production lost on the part of Eric Berry who was cut by the Chiefs on Wednesday. Berry is coming on an achillies tendon tear.
Though the cost is high for a short deal, the move is one that could put the Chiefs over the top next season.
