Shula played in the NFL with the Browns, Colts and Redskins and then took up a coaching gig with the University of Virginia after his playing days were over. Working his way up the ranks, Shula landed a job as head coach of the Baltimore Colts, and would win an NFL Championship in 1968.

Most known for his 25-year tenure coaching the Miami Dolphins, Shula remains the winningest coach in NFL history with two Super Bowl rings and the only undefeated season in league history to his name.

Shula coached for 33 seasons and astoundingly only had a losing record in two of them (1976, 1988).

RIP, Coach.
