The Saints thought they had their guy in Dez Bryant after signing the veteran WR to deepen their receiving core and compliment Michael Thomas, and they did so for all of three days.
During his second practice with the team, Dez Bryant suffered a leg injury that the team feared was an achilles tendon tear.
MRI results have confirmed just that.
Not that there was a question but MRI confirmed that Dez Bryant tore his Achilles, per source. An expected 8-month recovery.

Adam Schefter is also reporting that the Saints may turn their focus towards Brandon Marshall, another veteran receiver the team worked out along with Bryant earlier in the week.
Marshall is without a team after being released by the Seahawks this year.
