Oakland Raiders Sign QB Nathan Peterman

The holy trinity of tanking has been reached.

On Tuesday it was reported that Raiders head coach was “very high” on recently released Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman, statically the worst starting quarterback in NFL history.

Well it appears as if Jon Gruden is high on more than just Peterman, as according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Oakland has officially signed Peterman.

Gruden, then at ESPN in the Monday Night Football booth, had high praise for Peterman coming out of college, saying he’s the most NFL-ready QB in the 2017 draft class.

“Peterman is ready to walk in and be a contributor from day one,” Gruden wrote on ESPN.com in April. “He just looks like a pro quarterback — coming out of the huddle, running an offense with different formations, shifting, motioning, different patterns that other colleges don’t run. Peterman will recognize route combinations and associate formations.”

Despite laughable performance after laughable performance, it appears as if Gruden’s strange affinity for Peterman has not wavered.

In other news, Colin Kaepernick just won his collusion case against the NFL.
