BREAKING: Panthers LB Luke Kuechly Retires At Age 28

Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly announced on Tuesday that he is retiring from the NFL at the age of 28.

Kuechly announced the retirement via the Carolina Panthers twitter account:

Kuechly was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2012 Draft. He has dealt with his share of injuries including number of concussions and knee injuries.

In eight seasons, Kuechly racked up 1,093 total tackles, 12.5 sacks, 18 interceptions and one touchdown. He was a seven time Pro Bowler and five time All-Pro.
