WR Brandon Marshall Agrees To 2-Year Deal With The NY Giants

Brandon Marshall changed his profile picture on Instagram to a photo of him running through the Giants secondary. That will soon be happening in practice.

The veteran WR had apparently been hinting of the deal he signed Wednesday morning, one which makes him a New York Giant for the next two years.

“I’m tired of watching the playoffs on my couch,” Marshall said in January after the Jets finished 5-11 and failed to make the postseason for a sixth straight season.

Marshall, who will play in the same stadium he did as a Jet, will fill the void for the previously released Victor Cruz and join an already elite WR core of Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard.

The Giants did shop the high end of the WR market, taking looks at DeSean Jackson and Terrelle Pryor, but concluded they were out of the team’s price range.

The Giants are looking to get back to the Super Bowl for an aging Eli Manning who led his team to the NFC Wild Card game last season, only to lopsidedly lose to the Green Bay Packers 38-13.
