Brett Favre has officially turned into a meme of the potential comeback.
After creating a stir earlier this year when a post surfaced on his Instagram hinting that the Hall of Famer could return to football via the XFL, the 49-year-old says that his family and friends thought he would try to make an NFL comeback following Andrew Luck’s retirement.
“No teams called, but I had a lot of friends and family, you know, ‘Hey, the Colts could use ya!’” Favre told TMZ.
Favre assured TMZ that there’s no chance he would play in the NFL again, but with all the injuries to franchise quarterbacks through the first two weeks of the season, anything is possible.
