The Jaguars drafted a kicker in the 3rd in 2012, which seemed crazy at the time. Their in-state rivals, the Buccaneers, one-upped them this year.
Not only did Tampa Bay take kicker Roberto Aguayo in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft, they traded up to take him.
Just minutes into Tampa Bay’s first preseason game, Aguayo missed his first professional extra point. That was a sign of things to come.
Just five games in, with 7 tries, the kicker who was automatic in college has missed 4 of them.
The shaken rook had a talk with the team’s leader Winston after the miss.
