The NFL has taken concussions and helmet shots very seriously but tonight it had a hiccup that will stir some controversy.
During that intense fourth quarter of tonight’s Panthers vs Broncos game, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was trying to get his team into position for a game-winning field took a huge helmet to helmet shot from Broncos safety Darian Stewart.
Cam went down and took a while to get up.
According to the NFL concussion rules, Cam should’ve left the game and be examined for a concussion, instead it was business as usual and play went on after Cam got up.
Although Cam is a huge, helmet to helmet shots are a serious thing and the NFL really has some explaining to do as to why Cam Newton was allowed to continue playing in this game.
