Chargers HC Anthony Lynn Says Colin Kaepernick Is On “Short List” On Potential QB Workouts

Colin Kaepernick could be inching closer to continuing his NFL career.

On Wednesday, Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said the team intends to workout Colin Kaepernick, adding that the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback fits the style of system the Chargers are using:

Currently, the Chargers have three QBs on their roster: Veteran Tyrod Taylor, second-year Easton Stick and the sixth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Justin Herbert, out of Oregon. Longtime pivot Philip Rivers left the club in the offseason after 16 years with the team and signed as a free agent with the Indianapolis Colts.

The Chargers’ interest in Kaepernick comes days after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell encouraged a team to sign Kaepernick.
