What a stable of quarterbacks the Chicago Bears have put together for next season. After signing the Buccaneers’ backup quarterback Mike Glennon to a $45 million dollar contract, the team has now reportedly signed Cowboys 3rd string QB, Mark Sanchez.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal is for one year.
The Bears parted ways with their quarterback of seven years last month, releasing Jay Cutler, which was a move seven years too late.
Sanchez, the former #5 overall pick, has made his way around the league after a long stint with the Jets, playing for the Eagles, Broncos and Cowboys.
Glennon will of course presumably be the starter in Chicago, but the 30-year-old Sanchez will give experience at the backup position compared to the team’s other QBs, Connor Shaw and David Fales.
The move does raise even more questions on whether NFL teams are blackballing QB Colin Kaepernick for his National Anthem protests last season. Sanchez threw for 0 TDs and 2 interceptions with Dallas lasts year while Kaepernick threw for 16 TDs with only 4 INTs in the same season. Kaepernick remains jobless.
