A ‘Concerned’ Roger Goodell Wants To Make Change To NFL Catch Rule

Not even Roger Goodell’s most harshest critics can rip him for this.

The NFL commissioner is pushing to change the league’s controversial catch rule this offseason after years of complaints from players, coaches and fans.

During an interview with The Herd on FOX Sports 1, Goodell was asked about the rule and admitted that he was “concerned” about the confusion the rule has created:

Goodell also revealed that he is coordinated a summit earlier this month which included five Hall of Fame wide receivers and several coaches to discuss the rule.

The timing of the meeting coincided with the league’s most recent catch controversy, the Week 15 game between the Patriots and Steelers, in which tight end Jesse James was ruled to have dropped a potential game-winning touchdown.
