The contract negotiations between QB Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys hasn’t gained much traction so far. In fact, the two sides haven’t discussed a contract extension since last September, according to the team’s Executive Vice President Stephen Jones.

When speaking with reporters at the 2020 NFL Combine, Jones says they’ve had “low” to “non-existent” activity on negotating Dak Prescott’s new contract.

It sure seems like this situation is headed towards the franchise tag.

In addition, Jones says the team won’t enter negotiations with Prescott or free agent wide receiver Amari Cooper until the new CBA rules for the 2020 league year are decided.
