Dontari Poe Just Got Paid A Quarter Of A Million Bucks For Not Being Fat In The Month Of June

As if Julio Jones devastatingly losing his $150,000 earring in a lake while jet skiing wasn’t enough, here’s your second reminder today of just how much your life sucks compared to an NFL player’s.

Former Chief and new Atlanta Falcons DT Dontari Poe agreed to a weight clause in his contract that would grant him $150,000 for every one of four bench marks the team set for him in route from his 346 pound playing weight in 2016 to 300 pounds.

On Wednesday, Poe met that benchmark, weighing in at less than 330 pounds. Between this check and his last, Poe will pocket over a quarter of a million bucks simply not being fat.
