Falcons Set NFL Record For Scoring Two Touchdowns In 2 Seconds

The Atlanta Falcons offense hasn’t been what it used to be this season, but they have turned it on as of late and put on a show against the creme de la creme of the NFC in the 49ers on Sunday.

Trailing with seconds left, Atlanta scored a last second, go-ahead touchdown via a touchdown pass to Julio Jones.

Atlanta then took a kneel down on a play to go for two to prevent a run back on a blocked field goal.

Only needing one stop on the ensuing kickoff to seal the game, the Falcons did that and then some, scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery.

The back-to-back scores set an NFL record for the quickest touchdowns of its kind with only two seconds of game time spanning between the two.

The previous record was two touchdowns in 6 seconds by the Rams.
